As I keep thinking about the final project I want to transition away from just a central piece that applies to me, and my personal experience. I keep thinking about code-switching and the ways that could be incorporated. The ways that we use different language around different people, when we are in a professional setting versus when we are in a social setting. I think that knowing how to code-switch is important. And it is a privilege, especially if you are not used to being in a professional setting.
I still want to center my own experience, with the loss of a language through lack of use. I think incorporating some Vietnamese, or the bits that I know into my writing would help. I think also my lack of connections to my culture could be due to more internal strife as well.
I still haven’t given much thought to it, but maybe in price center? I think that area is really big and could be a good spot to place the radio.
