The task of continuing the quarter.
Slowly but surely the quarter has trudged along and I have been finding myself dragging my feet a bit and getting behind in some areas. This is normal — maybe not what’s right — but it is normal. Nonetheless, I remain enthusiastic for what this class has to offer in these last couple of weeks; I cannot wait to see everyone’s finished projects.
I’m quite glad that we will be talking more about Dictee and am also excited for whenever Latasha N. Diggs will be discussed in class as well. I find that both texts are interesting and offer different cultural perspectives.
I have plans to meet my partner from the Vis class this Tuesday, and needless to say I am looking forward to meeting them and to exploring the Envision lab as well. I am excited to see what kind of technology will be available for finalizing my audio recording! In high school, I was a little bit involved in my school’s news broadcasting channel as well as a student’s film for their visual media class! I was fascinated by the soundproof booth that recorded my lines in! Hopefully I find something as amusing in the Envision Lab.
I really enjoy seeing the creativity others offer within their pieces, especially considering that many, if most most, incorporate Spanish somehow. I’ve been finding inspiration in reading others’ pieces and hearing the feedback they receive in order to tweak my own piece. I’m not sure if this is something crazy or wrong, but I find it has been working for me in moving forward with my homage to Taco!
