I’m done with my project! I’m really excited — and scared — for the exhibit. Since this is a collaborative project neither class or professor has done, some unforeseen problems arise and are unprepared for; I think my partner and I did a pretty good job of communicating with one another and providing the other with the necessary information for their own part of the project.
I edited my audio on iMovie — I’ve had a lot of fun editing videos and projects on there before and therefore was comfortable using the app as a tool for this project. I am most accustomed to editing on my phone, but this time decided to edit on my computer and found a lot of audio options different from ones I’ve used before. For example, I didn’t know there were voice “filters;” My audio was too crisp and it felt like it was lacking something — or generally that something was wrong with my voice — and in finding those filters, I was able to tone down my voice and make it sounds as if it were an audio recording.
My project is already plugged in and ready to exhibit!
As Week 10 looms over me, I realize that I just need to put together everything for Part II of the project — including this blog post — and finalize/ turn everything in. I’m looking forward to talking a walking tour of the radio stations on Wednesday and hearing my classmates’ finalized audio projects. I’m still not quite sure how to tune in to hear the radios, but I think this is something that will most likely be resolved either tomorrow or Wednesday.
I’m quite sad that the end of the quarter has approached and this class will be over — I really enjoyed learning about translanguaging and being able to discuss readings with classmates in a small classroom setting similar to that of high school.
