In moments of daydream, we often find ourselves humming or singing a tune not known to the world but deeply personal to us. This audio piece is a reflection of my own subconscious melodies, an attempt to capture the spontaneous hummings and “la di das” that emerge during my daydreams. These are not the polished tracks found on YouTube or Spotify, but raw, intimate expressions of my inner world.
I chose to record this piece in my dorm room—a seemingly mundane location—because it is within these walls that my daydreams often take flight, especially in the solitude when my roommates are absent. The simplicity of the setting mirrors the unembellished nature of the recording. The radio used is minimalistic, serving as a metaphor for my unfiltered self, revealing who I am when no one is watching.
This work invites listeners to connect with their own hidden melodies and the private spaces where their minds wander freely.

Station located in the kitchen near the living room.
