This is probably my most straightforward artist statement. I love this song so I want to introduce this piece and its creator to everyone. My sound is a loop of a small section of Fujii Kaze’s song Matsuri (まつり), which means “Festival”. I was lucky enough to go to his first U.S. Tour on 5/31 where he ended his piano concert with this song. I guess this song is also his personal favorite. It is a song full of happiness and vigor, and as he introduced the song:

“Don’t worry. Everything is going to be okay. Know that. Feel that. We can manifest that. Be happy.”

Life is a festival where you enjoy the heat, the cold, the happiness, and the sad. Seize your chance to pursue and experience things you love, to create unique moments and experiences, and to feel things with your own body and mind. If anything happens, embrace it, and dance with it.

I made the poster to accompany with my piece. The name of the piece “Kazetarian” is “Kaze” and “-tarian” combined together, which could be originated from fandom but it is been accepted by Fujii Kaze himself as well. The radio station is printed from an open-source template downloaded from Ponoko, which I also customized it to fits my need. The main component of the station is composed of a green board (the radio signal) and an Arduino board to store sound file and power supply. The source file is coded in C++ with Arduino, and original codes can be accessed through my Github
